The "first address" in Travemünde includes the wide curved spa beach and the beach promenade.

Detailed description

It is constantly growing and every year more than a centimeter is added - the spa beach of Travemünde.

New sand is continuously being washed up from the Brodten steep bank, making the spa beach as wide as a soccer field in the meantime, with plenty of space for everyone: for beach volleyball stars, for soccer aces, for sandcastle fans, for sunbathers and beach runners. In 2013, Travemünde's beaches were awarded the red banner for safety by the International Life Saving Federation of Europe (ILSE). This means that they meet the requirements for a safe beach and are guarded by lifeguards.
