In the listed half-timbered house of Kurgartenstr. 17 - just a few steps away from the Vorderreihe and the old fishermen's church - is the store workshop of MareSchmuck, a family-run jewelry manufactory. It originates from a tradition of jewelry makers going back to 1771.
Since 2010, everything here revolves around the theme of the sea and sea jewelry.
Here, the work is mainly done in silver, but a selection in gold is also available.
Necklaces, rings, ear studs and bracelets show not only shells, waves and beach relief, but also octopus, walrus, rays and many other sea creatures, which are transformed here in a unique way into wearable pieces of jewelry.
The colors of the sea, green and blue, also dominate the colored glass necklaces. In addition, changing art exhibitions invite you to visit the store.
