Detailed description
At Skandinavienkai, you can feel it up close. Not only freighters dock and depart at Lübeck's bridgehead. Ferries also depart from here to Sweden, Finland and Latvia.
Fancy a trip to the land of the midnight sun?
From Skandinavienkai, one of Europe's largest ferry ports, you can travel to Scandinavia and the Baltic States.
The connection was created in 1962 with the Travemünde-Trelleborg Line (TT Line). This was because the increasing freight traffic with Sweden demanded a fast ferry connection. The ferry service to Helsinki followed in the same year. A decade later, the ferry terminal was equipped with a rail connection. Today, it is the most efficient connection to Scandinavia and the Baltic States.
