Welcome to the beach, it's good to have you here! It doesn't take much for you and all the others here to become sun bathers, beach sports enthusiasts, promenaders and favourite guests. Let's just look after each other and treat one another with mutual respect and understanding. We are all sitting together at the same beach! Thank you!
Loud does not necessarily mean better - there is the right volume for everything, so that each person feels comfortable with the sound.
Exercise on the beach is great, but please respect your range of motion and respect the space of others.
You are responsible for your own waste, please dispose of it correctly in the on-site waste bins.
During the season (April-September) dogs are allowed to have fun only on the dog beach.
When it gets crowded on the beach promenade, pedestrians always have priority over cyclists.
Know your limit, the Baltic Sea should not be trifled with! Always keep an eye on non-swimmers and children.
Showers, changing rooms, toilets – only want to be used as such.

Do not use soap in the beach showers, these are only intended for a short shower after swimming in the sea.
Please do not wash barbecue dishes here or in the toilet facilities.

Camping on the beach is forbidden, but we have nice campsites! Or spend the night in one of our wonderful sleeping beach chairs!
Barbecues and open fires on the beach: no. In the authorized areas: yes please!
Please do not use or reserve the benches along the promenade and on the green beach.
Please do not park your bike on the historic beach promenade railing.

Please pay attention to the bathing zones marked with flags on the beach! The Baltic Sea is not without its dangers and the currents can be life-threatening in unfavourable conditions. Sea foam is formed when water, air and organic matter come together - it's a completely natural process, but you'd better not swallow it.
Don't worry, the water quality in Travemünde is regularly tested and according to the EU Environment Agency is one of the best in Europe. If there are any restrictions, you will be informed on the spot. So get in the water and enjoy the Baltic Sea!
