The Sand Sculpture Exhibition will once again take place next to the Dockside in the fishing port of Travemünde. For the sixth year in a row, a new sand world with the theme "Film and Television" will be created in three boat halls, covering an exhibition area of 3,500 square metres. For the 2024 season, the sand team will use a total of 9,500 cubic metres of special sand to create works of art up to seven metres high.
The adjoining refreshment area invites visitors to linger, while younger guests can get to grips with the children's sand. The entire exhibition is barrier-free and can be visited with pets on a lead. The public car park "Am Fischereihafen" is located directly opposite the entrance to the exhibition and can also accommodate coaches. The exhibition is also within walking distance of the Skandinavienkai train station and the Teutendorfer Weg bus stop.
