Boatmen's Society

The historic rooms of the listed building alone are worth a visit: murals and ship models, maritime memorabilia and large chandeliers adorn the interior. In the large hall, guests sit at long tables on benches called "Gelage", just as they did back then. The captain's table is slightly elevated. From here, the captains always had everything in view and could confer undisturbed behind a folding partition. The traditional restaurant offers real culinary variety, from burgers and traditional Labskaus to steaks from the Southern Grill. In summer, you can also dine in the idyllic Schiffergarten with a view of the tower of St. Jacobi.
