As early as 1899, ladies and gentlemen in Travemünde could enjoy the fresh sea air along the beach.

With a width of 20 meters and a length of 1.7 kilometers, it is today considered the most beautiful promenade in Schleswig-Holstein.

Slightly elevated, it offers a fantastic view of the Bay of Lübeck and marvels at the arrival and departure of the "big ships". A barrier-free building design allows comfortable accessibility.

Beach terrace
From the box seat on the beach terrace, you have a perfect view of the children romping around on the pirate playground and the "big boats" passing by.

Playing and lingering
The attractive play and lingering facilities are lined up along the promenade. Here you can rest, observe, or play and romp around - even as you pass by.

Promenade footbridge
At the beginning of the green beach there is a 60 m long promenade footbridge. The pier holds a bench about 16 m long, from which you can observe the entire promenade, the beach and the sea to the south and north. Binoculars are available along the jetty for all great explorers.

Seagarden
A beautiful oasis with direct sea view! Different seating options and two barbecue stations invite you to spend nice hours and great barbecue evenings in the area of the green beach.

Playground
At the playground "Pirate's Nest" at the end of the green beach, buccaneer children can let off steam in climbing nets, fish traps and wooden ships. Toddlers, older children and teenagers have a lot of fun in the different areas.
