St. Lawrence Church

The Lutheran church was built on the foundations of the previous church, which burned down at the beginning of the 16th century. Its remains can still be seen on the north and east sides of the choir.

Ornaments of the nave are the baroque altar from 1723, carved by the Lübeck master Hieronymus Jakob Hassenberg. The splendidly painted coffered ceiling is worth seeing. There are old gravestones embedded in the floor, the oldest of which dates back to 1404. The most beautiful atmosphere can be experienced during evening music, when the old organ plays by candlelight.
