Strolling and promenading have a long tradition in Travemünde.
Attractions like the beach terrace and the garden invite you to visit. As early as 1899, ladies and gentlemen in Travemünde enjoyed the fresh sea breeze. With a width of 20 metres and a length of 1.7 kilometres, it is today considered the most beautiful promenade in Schleswig-Holstein. Slightly elevated, it offers a fantastic view of the Bay of Lübeck. Marvels at the arriving and departing ferries The barrier-free design of the promenade facilitates the access.
Beach terrace
From the beach terrace you can easily watch your children playing on the pirate playground and the passing ferries and ships by are right within view.
Play and linger
The attractive play and recreation facilities are lined up along the promenade. Here you can rest, observe, play and romp - even as you pass by.
Promenade path
At the beginning of the green beach there is a 60 m long promenade jetty. The footbridge has a bench of about 16 m in length from where the entire promenade, the beach and the sea can be observed. Binoculars are available along the footbridge for all great explorers.
Sea garden
A beautiful oasis with a direct view of the sea! Various seating options and two barbecue stations invite you to spend pleasant hours and enjoy great barbecue evenings in the area of the green beach.
Playground
At the "Pirate's Nest" playground at the end of the green beach area, children can let off steam in climbing nets, fish traps and wooden ships. Toddlers, older children and teenagers have lots of fun in the different areas.
