The beach lies in darkness and all you can hear is the roar of the waves under the clear starry sky – that is happiness. Savour and enjoy the clear sea breeze and find peace. Once you have used this moment of relaxation for yourself, turn to the pilot tower on Strandterrassen. Because this is the starting point for a very special beach walk.
From 29. November 2024 until 28. February 2025, Travemünde expert Eva-Maria Schulze conducts guests along the broad sandy beach by torchlight. The hike starts at the Tourist-Information Travemünde. Here, every participant receives their own torch. The ninety-minute guided tour starts every Friday at 7 pm. In the warm light of the burning torches, the tour heads for the green-and-white beacon, the light beacon on the Nordermole jetty and then along the beach to the pier. Along the way, you can listen to exciting stories about the resort – some historical, some entertaining. The unusual backdrop formed by the big ships arriving and departing adds to the atmosphere of this enthralling event. Take a deep breath and enjoy!
